Air Force Inspires Fun Times

I really do love the Air Force because of the way it forces you to make the most of where you are living, you know it isn't forever and you want to see everything the place has to offer. I lived my whole life in HB and when I think of all the things I didn't do in and around there and it makes me a little sad. This weekend we headed up to the White Tank Mountains (just about 15 minutes from us) and spent some time in the Arizona desert on a little hike. It is so beautiful and the smell of the desert is wonderful it really is a close second to the sea air (maybe sometimes better). I had no camera this weekend but there was this little playground there that we stopped at and had a great time playing. When it was time to go for some lunch Owen had to have a little moment with the whale he had been riding. He asked us to please wait while he patted the whale gave it a hug and a kiss on the cheek and said "bye little buddy take care I'll see you next time". I sure do love my little O, he's so sweet. After lunch we headed out to PIR (Phoenix International Raceway) just about 15 minutes away from us too, and took in the NASCAR scene. We thought it was just some smaller NASCAR race but Jr. and Jeff Gordon were there and these race fans were SERIOUS. Talk about tailgating I've never seen anything like this before. After naps and dinner we headed out to Westgate (where the superbowl was held) and found this water show that competes with the LV Bellagio show (well maybe it's half as good) but Clay had a great time dancing to the music and water and then the boys went crazy when we found this little water splash area. It was such a perfect family date night. So thanks Air Force for getting us out there it was a great day!

Today Owen found the jacket that he wore to Jordan and Lindseys wedding 2 1/2 years ago and insisted wearing it to church. Surprisingly it fit him quite well and he looked so handsome!
