The Chain is up and slowly coming down, one link at a time. I really cannot believe that it is almost here. The sacrifice has been well worth it and I would do it again (did I just type that?). The example my sweet husband has set for our children and the difference he has made to "the mission" will/ has effected generations. I don't mean to over exaggerate what he has done but I do mean to express my pride in him. We in turn have been so blessed. I have FELT the ministering angels in my life and in my home. I know Jesus Christ has filled in where Brock has not been able to in these last 6 months. I am so grateful for that knowledge and for my Faith. Prayers from family and friends have been felt we couldn't have done it without all of it. I wonder now how to express my gratitude to so many who have sacrificed so much for me and my sweet family. All I can conclude is that it is a life's work. One day I will be able to express gratitude to everyone. Here we are now only 13 days to go (did I just type that?!?). Anxiously awaiting your arrival Brock!

Litchfield Park Triathlon
With the encouragement of the many who did it last year I decided to do the Litchfield Park Sprint Triathlon. It is only a 300 yard swim 8.4 mile bike and 2 mile run. For a girl who hasn't regularly worked out in over 5 years that was asking A LOT though. With only 3 weeks to train I got serious mostly because I got in the pool and couldn't swim one lap without stopping twice. It was very gratifying to see progress in my swim from 30 minutes to 7.5 minutes. I wish I had trained on the bike more I had no clue what was doing there. Regardless, I really felt great the whole time . . . and had a lot of fun. Looking forward to focusing on my bike and running times for the next tri. I think Brock and I are going to do the Luke AFB Sprint Triathlon together.

Easter
I wasn't very inspired this Easter. BIG ideas but nothing came to fruission. Luckily Owen had dyed eggs at preschool and then both boys did at the YW fundraiser so I/the Easter bunny had eggs to hide. We left the eggs and a carrot and the Bunny left behind buckets and little cotton tails oh and the carrot leftovers. Then we had some families over for Easter dinner. Mostly we just missed Brock. I have realized all big celebrations have happened over these last 6 months so these next 6 months should just be quiet time for us to reconnect. Looking forward to that.

Pre Easter Fun 2009
Saturday the Young Women had a fundraiser for their summer camp. It was a fun time. Vannette stole Davis from me for a bit so I could have fun with Owen and Clay. There was a pancake breakfast, egg decorating, egg hunt - where Owen was SO cold, and cute baby chicks to have pics taken with (hope to get those soon). After all the fun we saw there was face painting too so the boys wanted to be chicks . . . I think the Young Women did a great job making them chicks!

Special Relationship
It has been a blessing to see this budding relationship. Everyday Owen loves Davis just that much more. Owen can hardly wait for Davis to wake each day, running in at the first noise from Davis, to wish him a happy day. He is so protective of Davis. Clay is our little noise maker and Davis our sweet sensitive baby. Owen is always protecting Davis' ears to help them not be hurt. Davis has done something for us, something great, but especially for Owen. There is just this unexplainable change that comes over him when he is dealing with Davis. He would sacrifice anything for that baby. He really has a Christlike love for him. I love these boys and am thrilled they all love each other just as much.
