The BIG Ultrasound
So this morning was my BIG ultrasound where they measure and find the sex of the baby. We found out that Brocks hunting crew is complete with our 3rd BOY! My dear friend Heather (who has three girls) put it perfectly when she responded with an "Oh Shit". Seriously it's all you can say. I went out into the hall and cried and laughed while I talked to her on the phone I love that she knows exactly what I am feeling and is so honest about it all. On a positive note a 3rd boy is great for many reasons . . . .1. Brock can take all the boys to scouting, father and sons, hunting, etc, etc and I can go on fun girl trips or just have some quiet time at home. More vacations for me, ahhh yeah! 2. Saving money! I don't have to redo the crib bedding (I just made 2 months ago), no major clothing shopping has to be done, no new toys needed. 3. I know boys, don't have to figure out all the girl stuff. 4. We make some super cute boys. So after all is said and done we are excited for another sweet baby boy to join our ranks in August. They are going to send me for a level 2 ultrasound (very official sounding) in a week or so because they found some cysts in his little noggin (Owen had the same) and his kidneys were dialated all signs of potential down syndrome but these are things they typically outgrow but want to make sure with another ultrasound. There's no thick neck or strange eyes and he's got the same cute button nose Owen did. When I showed and told Owen he was going to have a baby brother he said "but I want a baby sister I already have Clay!" I explained how he can teach this little guy all the stuff he is teaching Clay and that made him happy again. So I know we are all going to be thrilled when we get to meet this little boy! How could you not love another little baby.
