Clay's Eye Surgery

Well, we are home and all seems to be perfect with Clay. The surgery (if I can even call it that really it is more of a procedure) was so quick. I had arranged for Owen to go to play group this morning but it was not needed because Clay was done by 7:30am. He was so chill as always and when he awoke from the anesthesia he smiled at the nurse, stood up, and put his arms out for her to hold him. She said it was a welcomed change as most kids wake up screaming, crying, and throwing their bodies around. We would've headed straight home but surprise surprise I locked my keys in the car (hopefully this will not become a recurring event)! Luckily the USAF is all about families and Brock was still home with Owen and was able to come and save me. I didn't mind it because it allowed me to hold my sleeping baby Clay for 20 extra minutes. When we got home I knew he was back to his old self after eating 2 egg sandwiches, 1 yogurt, 2 sippy cups of drink, and a banana. And he only weighs 23 lbs.? How is that possible! Hopefully this will put an end to perfect strangers stopping us in the most awkward places getting in Clays face saying in a totally annoying voice "Oh why are you so sad? Be happy baby don't cry!" And then looking at me like I am mean to my kid or something. Why do people feel the need to be retarded like that? Just shut up and call CPS if you are that concerned.

Here is Clay after the surgery a little sore and bloody but happy and snugly.
